UPS has informed us today that it is unfortunately necessary to add a surcharge to the already very high shipping prices from November 4, 2019 to January 10, 2020.
Original massage from UPS:
Christmas time is almost upon us. As every year, the number of parcels handled and transported via our global network will increase exponentially in the coming months. We want to prepare our network accordingly so that we can continue to offer you outstanding service. That's why UPS is introducing temporary peak season surcharges that apply to packages that meet the specifications for large packages and oversizes, as well as packages with additional handling.
The surcharges applicable from 4 November 2019 to 10 January 2020 are a flat fee per package in addition to existing tariffs, surcharges and/or fees.
We feel this is a rip-off and will therefore not send packages with UPS during this period.
We are well aware that DHL has weaknesses in international shipping and tracking is lousy, but what should we do?
